    Board of Regents Chancellor Merryl H. Tisch and State Education Commissioner John B. King, Jr. said today the newly agreed upon teacher and principal evaluation system was made possible by a collaborative willingness to implement a process that will help improve student performance.  The two education leaders praised Governor Cuomo’s leadership in driving a resolution to the complicated negotiations.

  2. Board of Regents Accepts Two Grants for Education Department Priorities

    The New York State Board of Regents today accepted grants from the JPMorgan Chase and the New York Community Trust. The $200,000 grant from JPMorgan will support the Department’s effort to grow high-quality Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs, particularly in parts of the State where few programs currently exist. The $160,000 grant from the New York Community Trust will allow the Department to develop resources and trainings for districts to help them adopt culturally responsive pedagogy and practices.

    There are several reports available on Grants Finance's website - Federal & State Grant Payments End of Year Reports, District Summary Reports, NCLB Allocation Reports and IDEA Allocation Reports.  Agencies can also access forms for federal and State grants- FS-10 budget, FS-10-A budget amendments, FS-10-F final expenditure reports, FS-25 request for additional funds, and payee information forms.
