Recreation Program

After School Activities

The recreation program at the New York State School for the Deaf provides opportunities for fun, enjoyment, and self-expression through a wide variety of activities. The Recreation Therapist provides a monthly calendar of activities that focus on the physical, emotional and social functioning of the student with the goal of an independent leisure lifestyle and successful participation in community life.

NYSSD is a beautiful campus located on 17 acres and includes:

  • Olympic Sized Indoor Swimming Pool
