About the Alumni

Welcome to the official web site of the Alumni Association of the New York State School for the Blind, Inc. The association was formed in 1918 and was incorporated in March, 1924.

On this site you will find our By Laws and Articles of Incorporation, contact information for the Board of Directors, and Member News. We urge you to visit this page often for any new features and updates.

In part, the purpose of our organization is to form a definite link between the undergraduates of the New York State School for the Blind and its alumni;  to aid Alumni and students of the school to find their life work and to advance themselves in whatever may be best for them; and to foster a greater school spirit.

Membership in the organization is open to anyone who has attended the New York State School for the Blind and is at least 18 years of age. If you wish to join, please send a letter to the Corresponding Secretary or contact any other officer. You will receive notification of the action taken on your application.

Membership dues are currently $15.00. Your membership entitles you to receive the fall letter, the annual Alumni Bulletin,  the registration letter for the reunion and any other correspondence that may be sent.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or suggestions for enhancing this page. We look forward to hearing from you.
