Statement from Chancellor Lester W. Young, Jr. and Commissioner Betty A. Rosa on Board of Regents Appointments

Chancellor Young and Regents Tilles, Wills, Catania, and Pratts Reelected to Board

Keith B. Wiley, Felicia Thomas-Williams Elected to Represent the Eighth and Tenth Judicial Districts, and Brian J. Krist, Elected At Large

We congratulate Regents Roger B. Tilles, Dr. Frances G. Wills, Dr. Roger P. Catania, and Hasoni L. Pratts on their reelection to the Board of Regents. We also welcome Keith B. Wiley of Erie County and Felicia Thomas-Williams of Suffolk County, who will represent New York State's Eighth and Tenth Judicial Districts, respectively, and Brian J. Krist of Manhattan, who will serve as an At Large member.

These Regents and Regents-Elect share our commitment to ensuring that all students in New York have equitable access to the educational opportunities necessary for success in school and life.

Each Regent brings a wealth of knowledge, fresh perspectives, and experience that will help us develop and implement educational policies and practices that reflect the Regents' and the Department's commitment to equity and excellence in our schools, colleges, universities, museums, libraries, cultural institutions, adult education, and vocational programs and in the licensed professions.

We thank Regents Catherine F. Collins, Dr. James E. Cottrell, and Dr. Luis O. Reyes for their service to the people of New York. Their collective dedication to empowering New Yorkers has been invaluable during their time on the Board.

We are honored to continue working alongside Regents Tilles, Wills, Cantania, and Pratts. We are also excited to start working with Regents-Elect Wiley, Thomas-Williams, and Krist. Together, we aim to enhance knowledge, skills, and opportunities for all residents of New York State.
