The New York State Education Department hereby grants users of this website permission to use, without restriction, the New York State Education Department's Learning Standards as set forth herein, which use may include reproduction of all, or any part of, the Standards, provided that any such published reproduction must contain the following attribution(s), as applicable:

    • The New York State P-12 Common Core Learning Standards for English Language Arts & Literacy and the New York State P-12 Common Core Learning Standards for Mathematics include, respectively, all of the Common Core State Standards in English Language Arts and Literacy (CCSS ELA&L) and the Common Core State Standards in Mathematics (CCSS Math), plus the New York recommended additions to the Common Core State Standards for such subject areas.
    • The Common Core State Standards are provided pursuant to a Public License granted by the National Governors Association Center for Best Practices and the Council of Chief State School Officers as holders of the copyrights to the Common Core State Standards.  Any use of the Common Core State Standards other than as authorized under the Public License, or Copyright Law, is prohibited.  
    • The New York State Education Department hereby grants users of this website permission to use the New York State additions to the CCSS ELA&L and CCSS Math, for noncommercial purposes which use may include reproduction of all, or any part of such additions only, provided that any such published reproduction must contain the following attribution(s), as applicable:
      • New York State P-12 Common Core Learning Standards for English Language Arts & Literacy (New York State Education Department, used with permission)
      • New York State P-12 Common Core Learning Standards for Mathematics (New York State Education Department, used with permission)
    • However, use of the CCSS ELA&L and CCSS Math portions of the New York State P-12 Common Core Learning Standards is governed by the Public License.
