Premiere Edition of the NYS Next Generation Roadmap Spotlight Available Now!
With the help of New York State districts and BOCES, the Office of Curriculum and Instruction published the premiere edition of the NYS Next Generation Roadmap Spotlight! The Roadmap Spotlight was created to encourage district-to-district support and collaboration throughout our state as we progress through the three phases of the Next Generation Learning Standards Roadmap. This platform enables educators, administrators, and leaders to benefit from the collective knowledge and experiences of colleagues.
In our premiere edition, you will read about:
- Greece Central School District and Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES’ collaboration to find time to raise awareness of the new standards in Raising Awareness May Take Time, but it’s Time Worth Taking;
- the connection Herricks UFSD made between their values and the Lifelong Practices of Readers and Writers in The Senior Exit Portfolio: Measuring the Lifelong Practices through Student Reflection; and
- how Hudson Falls Central School District utilized its teacher leadership structure and instructional coaching support to rollout the Next Generation Standards in Utilizing Teacher Leadership and Instructional Coaching to Support Next Generation Standards Rollout.
We are actively and continually accepting articles for future newsletters. Articles can be submitted to standards@nysed.gov at any time.
