New York State Museum offers Earth Science Teacher Workshop in October 2022
New York State Museum’s Annual Earth Science Teacher Workshop will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022. This year’s workshop will be a one-day hybrid program held at the New York State Museum and virtually over the web, with top research experts in various fields of Geology/Earth Science and Paleontology, located here in New York and beyond. The day-long workshop provides professional learning opportunities for New York State Earth Science/Physical Setting teachers. Participants will be immersed in geology and paleontology and receive 8 continuing education (CTLE) credits. Workshop leaders include Drs. Donald Prothero from Occidental College and Jeff Chiarenzelli from St. Lawrence University, along with New York State Museum curators/research scientists Drs. Charles Ver Straeten, Lisa Amati, Marian Lupulescu, Robert Feranec, and Julieann Van Nest.
