New York State Next Generation Grades 6-12 Learning Standards for Literacy
New York State initiated a gradual removal of the ELA Common Core Standards in 2022. This transition reflects the Department’s commitment to aligning education objectives with the evolving industry demands, technological advancements, and changing societal landscape. Please see the NYS Implementation Timeline to ensure the correct Standards are used at the appropriate grade levels.
